iPRSM® Software

Historically, facilities have maintained relief device data sheets or specification sheets with the required design basis for the relief area controlling case, but often do not have the supporting documentation required by OSHA. Additionally, piping pressure losses can adversely affect the function of all pressure relieving systems and must be verified to ensure that a properly sized device can respond as designed. To ensure proper protection of equipment against overpressure and possible catastrophic failure, a pressure relief system analysis that includes evaluation of piping pressure losses is needed.

iPRSM® Systems Monitoring Software
The final deliverable is a Web based software solution that enables monitoring of all systems components fron a single screen, employing the speed and access of the World Wide Web. Online viewing of system components includes online access to the following:
Navigation through P& ID’s or System Sketches
Users can navigate to any piece of equipment from a P&ID or system sketch.
Revision Control
History is managed and archived.
Relief Load Calculations
Systematic identification of all potential overpressure scenarios and relief load calculations are determined and associated with each piece of equipment.
Inlet/Outlet Pipe calculations
Includes inlet pipe loss calculation, force and moment calculations, acoustical induction vibration calculations, and noise level calculations.
Two-phase flow calculations
Two-phase relief calculations are based upon the Design Institute of Emergency Relief Systems (DIERS) methodologies. The API Omega model has been standardized in iPRSM®. Equipment Libraries
Supports an unlimited number of equipment and device types
Relief Valve -NB Redbook data
Contains information from National Board pressure relief certification data.
Web Security
iPRSM® uses the web standard secure transport protocols (SSL encryptions & HTTPs) identical to all major financial institutions and secure e-commerce sites. Combined with complete user access controls, iPRSM® assures proper transaction management for concurrent users.
Pipe Fitting Catalog
Contains a comprehensive library of inlet and outlet pipe fittings.
Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
iPRSM® application supports the LOPA simplified risk assessment methods.
