CDC ENVIRO GUARD® Pipe End Covers
Protect free vent rupture disc piping and safety relief valve outlets from unwanted foreign material, rain, insects, or birds by installing the ENVIRO GUARD® pipe end cover. The ENVIRO GUARD® pipe end cover is fabricated from a tough PTFE coated/impregnated fiberglass material suitable for use in harsh environments
and temperatures up to 500°F (260°C). Pipe End Cover Features:
• Provide protection from snow, ice, or rain accumulation in open piping.
• Allow visual indication of overpressure relief when the cover is expelled from a pipe. Bright blue fabric is highly visible, even from a distance.
• Shield piping so birds or insects cannot inhabit the open vent.
• Prevent environmental damage to an exposed rupture disc.
The ENVIRO GUARD® pipe end cover is available for 90° or 45° pipe ends and may be purchased with an optional retrieval rope to retain cover near the location after venting. A Nomex ®* drawstring secures the cover snug against the pipe and a permanently attached stainless steel tag provides clear model/size identification.
